Who would have thought the type of neckline you wear can flatter (or NOT flatter) your face shape?

There are various types of necklines; you’re probably most familiar with v-necks, crew necks and turtlenecks. However, boat necks, a jewel neckline and square necks can all look fantastic depending on your face shape.
For example, heart shaped faces look best with boat necklines (an open neck across the collarbone.) Heart shaped faces can also get away with a jewel neckline (an alternative, tightly fitting crew-type neckline), which looks very flattering. Round faces will look fabulous with a v-neck blouse or dress, as well as a scoop neck or mock turtleneck.
If you are broad shouldered, you can try a v-neck top which will elongate your neck and make your shoulders appear less wide. Dramatize a minimal bust with crew necks or boat necks, and emphasize a larger bust with a v-neck top.
While there are no hard and fast rules for which neckline to choose, always remember to wear a more “conservative” neckline to work or a business meeting. If you are heading to a formal event or a night on the town, feel free to play up your face shape with a dramatic neckline that works well on you.
