Worst Celebrity Fashion Mistakes

There are some looks only a celebrity can pull off. Other times, we have to wonder what these stars were thinking!

Below are some of the worst celebrity fashion mistakes of all time, and why you should feel reassured that, hey, celebrities aren’t actually perfect after all!

Debra Messing unfortunately got the greek goddess look terribly wrong when she decided to pair this flowy white dress with gobs of gold accessories. Come on, girl – don’t you know one of the cardinal rules of fashion is NEVER to be too matchy-matchy?

Of course, notorious problem chick Britney Spears has had her share of fashion mistakes, but none so memorable as this. ‘Nuff said.

Naturally, even socialites have terrible fashion taste at one time or another, and Paris Hilton is no exception. Nevermind the fact that wearing real fur is a fashion faux pas (and cruel!,); the look is just ridiculously over the top! The girl has to own at least one mirror… maybe they just weren’t working that day.

With an outfit like this, you’d almost think Victoria Beckham has a secret night job… not even celebrities can pull off the hooker look with style, girls!

While there have undoubtedly been even worse celebrity looks, these are a few of my picks for worst celebrity fashion mistakes of all time. Take care not to replicate these looks yourself… I’m sure these celebs are wishing these photographs would disappear forever!

Eco-Fashion Becomes More of a Reality

In an interesting article from The Denver Post, the author talks about the increasing popularity of fashion designers and retailers when it comes to eco-friendly fashion.

Before, very few designers and companies offered clothing lines that were eco-friendly; the ones that did were usually high priced and not available to most of the general public.

Now, with the increasing number of consumers vying for “green” fashion, more companies are striving to meet the increased demand for fashion that’s not only affordable, but earth-friendly too.

Read through the entire original article if you are interested in learning more about the “greening” of the fashion industry, as well as what makes green clothing so attractive to consumers.

It’s an interesting read, and definitely news-worthy for those who love fashion, but wish to help the environment as well. Talk about fashion with a purpose!

Get Shoes that Fit Perfectly Everytime

Shoes that don’t fit are not only uncomfortable, but can contribute to foot problems as well. Here’s how to get shoes that fit perfectly every time you buy a pair:

Measure

If you aren’t comfortable with your ability to accurately measure your feet, head to a shoe store and have each foot professionally measured. It’s not uncommon for one foot to be a little larger than the other; if this happens, it’s best to buy shoes to fit the larger foot.

Timing

Trying shoes on at the end of the day when your feet are slightly swollen will allow you to findĀ  shoes that actually fit. You want a pair of shoes you know you’ll be able to wear even when your feet are swollen and tired.

Walk

After you’ve had your feet professionally measured, find a pair of shoes you like in your correct size. Once you’ve done that, it’s time for a test run! You should be able to walk comfortably all over the store, and your toes should have plenty of wiggle room (enough to breathe, but not enough for the shoe to slip off your foot.)

By following these tips, you should be able to find the perfect pair of shoes every time you shop!
